"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Atlantic View Cottage. Beautiful cottage, well maintained and equipped and what a view! Will be back again." - John and Jane Smith, Kent
"A fantastic Easter week for our first visit to Barra. We felt quite at home as soon as we came through the front door, and the lovely house really made the holiday. I have never had such a good view from a living room window, and the sunsets were quite special. We managed some cycling, surfing and did a very nice walk taking in all the hills surrounding the house - the views on a clear day are quite exceptional."
- Robert, Diane, Emma and Steven Kingston, Bristol (7th - 14th April 2007)
" Enjoyed the flight passing over many of our favourite areas of Scotland. We have been very comfortable in the cottage. Weather has been excellent, Wednesday the only day part wet. We have visited some beautiful beaches, eaten wonderful food, enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets, we all want to return soon!!"
- Sheila and Jim Thomas (26th May - 2nd June 2007, Part of Jim's 60th birthday celebrations. Sheila and Jim's second visit to the island)
"Felt like movie stars arriving by plane with all the camera's rolling. Weather perfectly clear and sunny, in the 80's all week. A first not to experience any rain on Barra! Accommodation here just like home (except the views). Didn't do Heaval this time but swam twice at the Halaman and Vatersay schoolhouse beach. Borrowed a rake and got cockles at the Traigu Muor. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Wish we'd booked two weeks!"
Gary and Evonne Quinn, Glasgow (9th - 16th June 2007)
"Another holiday in Atlantic View and another Barrathon run - again superbly organised and finished with a lovely buffet in school school hall. Weather not so good which did keep us in a bit. We did miss the wonderful sunsets. Til next time..."
- Micheal and Jacqualine Hamel, Argyll (30th June - 7th July 2007)
"We have had a great great week on Barra. Very impressed with the cottage and the island, thank you very much!)" - The Black Family, Lockerbie (27th July - 4th August 2007)
"Had a wonderful week, mixed weather but one really hot day and we all got burnt. Beautiful beaches, especially Halaman and Vatersay Schoolhouse are excellent for children, safe for swimming. Highlights - Kayaking - ask at hostel in Castlebay, great value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed it and we were all beginners. Also, Seal Bay - about 15 seals in water and on rocks. Spent a lovely afternoon "watching them, watching us!" Hubby climbed Mount Heaval - spectacular views. Lovely and cosy house, will definitely return.
P.S. Loved the friendly black cat, named it Hali after Halaman Bay!"
- The Craggs Family, Durham, England (11th - 18th August 2007)
